Napoli president appears to fire transfer warning to Everton over Allan

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has appeared to fire a warning shot at Everton over their pursuit of Allan.

De Laurentiis was speaking at a press conference earlier today when he was asked about the futures of Allan and defender Kalidou Koulibaly, a target for Manchester City.

Napoli are believed to be open to moving Allan on, with Carlo Ancelotti keen, but the Italian side's president said he will not sell either player on the cheap and has seemingly described Everton and City as "buzzards".

“I see many buzzards on the transfers market - you know who they are, they seem to be waiting to swoop in [on Koulibaly and Allan], but we have impenetrable armour and they’ll not get what they want or at the prices they want," De Laurentiis is quoted as saying.

Ancelotti calm about Everton transfer plans amid claims

Napoli are reportedly holding out for around £30m for 29-year-old Allan but it seems unlikely, at this stage, that Everton would be prepared to meet that asking price.
