Napoli chairman aims subtle jibe at Maurizio Sarri following switch from Chelsea to Juventus

Maurizio Sarri may have upset a number of Chelsea fans with his decision to move to Juventus, but that's nothing compared to the feeling of those in Naples.

The Italian established himself as a firm fans' favourite during his reign at Napoli head coach, leading many to hail him as a club legend for the work that he did.

However following his return to Italy it seems that the feeling of good-will may have waived somewhat.

Napoli are expected to challenge Juventus for the Serie A title next term, and while the Old Lady will be favourites to come out on top, Sarri's former boss, Aurelio De Laurentiis has aimed a subtle jibe at the 60-year-old.

Speaking to the Italian press , the Napoli chairman said: "I am not surprised about Sarri's move to Juve, football is no longer a world of icons and loyalty.

"He didn't win anything here and maybe he will not win anything in Turin."
