Naouirou Ahamada points out how Arsenal loanee is helping following Crystal Palace transfer

January signing Naouirou Ahamada has said fellow midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is helping him settle in at Crystal Palace as he continues to adapt to life in London.

The 20-year-old was signed from VfB Stuttgart on the same day that fellow midfielder, Belgian Albert Sambi Lokonga, joined on loan from Arsenal.

Ahamada has come off the bench in the Eagles' last two Premier League fixture, the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United and the 1-1 draw against rivals Brighton & Hove Albion.

After only a few weeks in London, Ahamada has said he's enjoying living in England and named a few players who have helped him settle in including Jordan Ayew and Lokonga.

“London is good, it’s a big city, it’s a very good city and I’m happy to be here,” Ahamada told South London Press. “I want to enjoy my time in London and learn and work with the guys. The guys are helping me. There are a lot of guys, experienced guys like Jordan (Ayew).

“Jordan speaks with me and we also have a lot of French [speakers] like Odsonne (Edouard), Sambi speaks French also. Sambi is a good guy. He helps me and it is good for me to be with him.”

The stalemate against Albion was Ahamada's home debut and though it didn't end in victory, the midfielder is pleased to have played in front of the Eagles faithful.

“It was a difficult game because Brighton are a good team, but we are happy because we defended very well and were compact,” he added. “I enjoyed it, it was very good. The fans were amazing and I’m happy to play at Selhurst Park.”
