Naomi Campbell's private chef reveals all about her controversial 'one meal a day' diet

Naomi Campbell may have been slammed in the past for saying she eats only one meal a day to maintain her figure, but now her chef has shed light on exactly what the supermodel dines on.

Sean John is the private chef of the 50-year-old modelling legend and has been preparing meals for her for over a decade.

And while Naomi has previously said she restricts her meals to just one per day, it seems what is offered to her is also quite restrictive – with no dairy, chicken or gluten on the menu.

Speaking to PageSix, Sean explained how he tempts Naomi’s tastebuds – while also giving some insight into how she manages to maintain her diet when she has a hectic global travel diary.

“I have cooked for her for over 10 years. She has her own stuff at home, but I prepare one really good meal a day, and it’s super clean and really healthy,” he said.

“She’s an ital, which is a Jamaican word for clean vegetarian style, like Bob Marley rasta talk.

“And when she travels private, I prepare those meals, too. She doesn’t eat plane food.”

It also sounds like Naomi can be a picky eater when it comes to dining out.

Sean says: “She never orders from the restaurant. It’s never from the menu. She’s basically like, ‘Make something, but not what’s on the menu,’ so it’s always a creative process.

“She has to have flavor. You can’t just put salt and pepper in it. I don’t do that anyway, but she knows! There’s got to be some spice and herbs. She’s all about making it soulful and flavorful.”

In April, Noami opened up about her controversial eating methods.

She said: “I eat my lunch. Lunch is my dinner, because I really only eat once a day.”

She went on to say that she relaxes her self imposed rules on a Sunday, saying: “Sunday is my treat, so I’ll make desserts, my cakes and puddings.”
