Naomi Campbell's mum has shared her joy at becoming a grandmother.
The supermodel's mum, Valerie Morris-Campbell, took to her Instagram page on Tuesday evening - shortly after catwalk queen Naomi announced that she welcomed a baby girl - to praise her daughter and admit that she has been waiting for the British star to become a mum for a "long time."
Alongside the same photo Naomi posted to reveal her lovely news, of her new baby daughter's feet, Valerie wrote: "Congratulations to my daughter Naomi on the birth of her daughter, I’m beyond thrilled as I’ve waited a longtime to be grandmother. @naomi."
Naomi, who has never met her biological father, then replied to the gushing message by replying in the comments section with: "We love you Mum."
The 50-year-old supermodel shocked fans by sharing on social media, this week, that she had become a parent after keeping the news a secret.
Naomi made the special announcement on her Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon.
She called her new arrival "a little blessing" and an "angel" as she told her followers "there is no greater love" and illustrated the post with a photo.
In the snap, Naomi cradled the baby's feet in her hands while the little one appeared to be wrapped in a pink silk blanket embroidered with flowers.
Naomi wrote: "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother.
"So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel.
"There is no greater love."

Naomi had not announced she was expecting a baby and only revealed the news after her baby girl was born when she tweeted the photo.
Fans have been speculation as to who is the father of Naomi's tot.
A source claims that the catwalk queen is living in America with her new partner - who she is "really happy" with and that the first coronavirus lockdown led to her making the decision to start a family.
"Naomi has really mellowed in the past year and is in a wonderful place in life," they told The Sun.
"She has been living in America with her boyfriend and is really happy. It finally felt like the perfect time to become a mother and she is over the moon."
Adding how the British model made the decision to become a parent, the source continued: "The first lockdown allowed her to stop and take stock of the important things and she decided now was the time to properly look into starting a family."
