Naomi Campbell quizzed by fans as she travels by plane in hazmat suit and PPE

Naomi Campbell embarked on yet another flight dressed in a full hazmat suit, goggles, face shield and a mask.

The 49-year-old supermodel revealed that she wasn't taking any chances with with the coronavirus pandemic, sharing the clinical getup on her social media yesterday.

Alongside the well-prepared selfie, Naomi explained to fans that she was on her way home.

The model, who turns 50 later this week, shared the post with her 9.1 million Instagram followers alongside the simple caption, "On the move..."

Many of the thousands of followers who commented under the posts wished that Naomi stayed safe, while others quizzed how she got the PPE supplies despite the national shortages.

In one message, she quickly hit back and explained that she had bought the suit in January, before shortages became known.

Other fans slammed the glamorous model for her excessive use of the equipment.

One follower wrote: "You have on more PPE than medical professionals wear when actually caring for patients who have Covid 19. You can dial it back a little."

Another fumed: "Do you also realise the amount of waste you're creating by using all that PPE? Plus the amount you probably have stocked for personal use when it should saved for frontline workers who actually need it in healthcare settings? It's extremely selfish and self-serving."

"Hospital staff need that gear Naomi," wrote a third.

It's not the first time that Naomi has caused a stir over her choice of airport attire.

Across March and April, Naomi was spotted at least twice wearing the complete hazmat suit and face protection as she travelled by plane.

The self-confessed germophobe has been taking some serious travel precautions for some time before the pandemic spread across the globe.

Last year, the Streatham-born beauty shared a clip on her YouTube channel in which she wiped down a first class seat with anti-bacterial wipes.

Other snaps from last year also show her wearing latex gloves and a face mask to protect her from germs.
