Nantes winger dreams of Chelsea transfer to follow in the footsteps of Didier Drogba

Nantes winger Moses Simon has said that a move to Chelsea would be a 'dream come true'.

The Nigerian international put in an impressive season while on loan from Levante and has now made the move permanent.

Simon racked up nine goals and eight assists across 30 appearances on his way to becoming player of the season for the Ligue 1 side.

However, the 24-year-old has been inspired by some Chelsea legends and harbours hope of becoming the fourth Nigerian to play for the Blues after John Obi Mikel, Celestine Babyaro and Victor Moses.

"It is the Blues because I think I play their kind of football and will fit in well,” Simon told Goal.

"I like the way they play and I love them because of John Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba.

"Should that happen, I’ll be so happy because that will be a dream come true for me."

However a move for the winger seems a long wiay off following the signings fo Timo Werner and Ziyech before taking into account the quest to land Kai Havertz.

With Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the ranks, a winger may not be a priority for while. Though, with uncertain futures for Pedro and Willian, there could be room in the future if Simon continues to impress.
