Nanny McPhee actor Raphaël Coleman collapses and dies while going for a run

A child star of Nanny McPhee has died at the age of 25, his mother and stepfather have confirmed.

Raphaël Coleman died on Friday after collapsing while going for a run, his stepdad Carsten Jensen said on Facebook.

He said the child actor could not be revived. Mr Jensen added that he had not been suffering any “prior health problems”.

Fans of Nanny McPhee will remember him as Eric Brown in the 2005 film. he also appeared in The Fourth Kind, It’s Alive, and Edward’s Turmoil.

Tweeting about her son's death, Raphaël's mum Liz said he died “doing what he loved”.

She said he was a climate change campaigner and and had been an activist with the Extinction Rebellion group.

She wrote: “Rest in peace my beloved son Raphaël Coleman, aka Iggy Fox (his nickname in Extinction Rebellion).

“He died doing what he loved, working for the noblest cause of all. His family could not be prouder.

“Let’s celebrate all he achieved in his short life and cherish his legacy.”
