Nando's is opening a restaurant in Bridgend, the chicken chain has announced.
People living in the area will no longer have to travel to Cardiff, Llantrisant or Swansea for their chicken fix as the chain will be opening its first store in Bridgend in December.
Many pubs and restaurants have struggled during the coronavirus pandemic but Nando's, known for its legendary flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, has confirmed that it will be taking on a unit at McArthur Glen Designer Outlet.
There's been speculation in the area for years over whether or not Nando's would open a restaurant in Bridgend.
A Nando’s spokesman said: "We are very excited to be coming to Bridgend and can’t wait to open our doors to local PERi-PERi fans in December."
The company is now advertising for full time and part time jobs at the new store.
Nando's currently has 12 restaurants across Wales including Cardiff, Llanelli and Newport.
Meanwhile, Deliveroo recently announced a nationwide roll out of Nando’s with 360 restaurants now available on the food delivery platform.
