If you’ve been craving Nando's for the last couple of months but don’t live in a takeaway delivery area, there’s now a better - and arguably healthier - way to get your PERi-PERi fix.
Following hot on the heels of other restaurants offering D.I.Y kits, fans of Nando’s Portuguese-style grilled chicken will be able to whip up their favourite plates at home. The restaurant has teamed up with leading recipe box brand Mindful Chef to create a limited-edition box - and there’s nothing cheeky about it.
Filled with Nando’s iconic, addictive flavours, customers will be able to choose from two of Nando’s most popular orders: PERi-PERi butterfly chicken, chips and fino slaw or a quarter chicken legs, macho peas and sweet mash.
Alongside the pre-portioned, weighed-out ingredients, you’ll find easy step-by-step recipes and a bottle of Nando’s Medium PERi-PERi sauce, of course.
Giles Humphries, co-founder of Mindful Chef, said: “We have seen a massive 400 per cent increase in demand for our recipe box service in the last two months. Experimenting with new ingredients and recipes has been a big trend during lockdown. So it seemed like the perfect time to work with one of the UK's most loved restaurants and give the UK a chance to cook up some of Nando’s famous PERi-PERi dishes at home.”
If you want one of these boxes, you’d better move fast. They will be available for delivery from June 14 to 27 only, costing from £6 per person and available for nationwide delivery.
