Nando's is giving away free PERi-PERi sauce to anyone named David in these locations

To celebrate St David’s Day, popular chicken chain Nando’s is adding a little spice across Wales by giving away free bottles of the famous sauce to anyone named David for the entire weekend.

Yeah, you heard that right David from Wales - you can finally thank your parents for blessing you with your birth-name and get free PERi-PERi sauce as a result.

Any customer who visits Nando’s on 29th February or 1st March named David will receive a limited-edition St. David’s Day bottle of Nando’s Medium PERi-PERi sauce, bespoke with their name on it, when they spend £7 in the restaurant.

Make sure you remember to bring ID as you’ll need to be able to prove that your name is actually David (or one of the variations below).

Regional Managing Director, Samantha Neal, said: “We look forward to welcoming David’s and Davina’s around the country down to Nando’s this weekend, as well as joining the festivities with the rest of Wales!”

Nando’s recently made the decision to axe four popular items from the menu which caused quite a stir amongst avid fans.

First to go was the fillet steak and chargrilled vegetable wrap - the pitta version is also no longer available, sob.

Nando's sweet potato mash, and the sweet potato and butternut squash have both been taken off the menu too as well as our beloved feta cheese which has also disappeared from the menu.

A Nando's spokesperson said: "We have removed Sweet Potato Mash from our menu, along with Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash, Feta Cheese, Fillet Steak & Chargrilled Veg and Mango & Lime Spice, in order to add newness for our customers.”

"Passionfruit & Mango’ has replaced ‘Mango & Lime’, new seasonal sides will change with each new menu and we have also added ‘Vegan’ PERinaise.”
