Nando's ditches mango and lime and replaces it with mango and passionfruit

There's no denying that Nando's is one of the best places to eat chicken, but there's something you ought to know before your next visit.

From February 3rd, the much-loved chicken restaurant is removing its popular mango and lime seasoning from the menu. Our mild favourite will be truly missed.

It will be replaced with a new mild flavour: mango and passionfruit.

The switch-up comes after a successful trial of the limited-edition mango and passionfruit flavour at Nando’s Yard, which is the chain's three week pop-up venue in Shoreditch, London.

A spokesperson for Nando’s said: "The new, Mild spice has been introduced following the success of Passion Fruit at Nando’s Yard last summer; a tropical and exotic flavour, passion fruit grows across Nando’s Southern African heartland, and is the perfect match for PERi-PERi Chicken.

"This tangy new flavour is perfect for those who like a little sweetness on their wings or want to try something different on their burger."

If you're a mango and lime fan, you have just four days left to enjoy the mild flavour.

Mango and passionfruit is available now and joins Nando's "PERi-ometer" seasoning barometer - which includes extra hot, hot, medium, mild and extra mild.

The new mild flavour has the same spice level as the lemon and herb seasoning. It will be on Nando's menus for four months and after that, there will be another new seasoning available.
