Nando's and Google named in 50 best places to work in the UK - see full list

The top 50 best places to work in the UK have been revealed by jobs site Glassdoor.

Some of the big name companies that have been praised include Microsoft, Google and Apple - as well as restaurant chains like Dishoom and Nando’s.

But the number one place to work in the UK, according to the annual Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards, was named as SaaS platform ServiceNow.

ServiceNow, which was awarded a rating of 4.6, was recognised for its “diversity, excellent product, supports customers well, puts customers at the very heart of everything we do”.

Number two in the Glassdoor list was product development company AND Digital, a newcomer in the ranking, followed by software firm Salesforce, both of which also had a 4.6 rating.

It is the 14th year Glassdoor has published results of its Employees’ Choice Awards.

This year, only four employers appear on all five country lists (UK, France, Germany, U.S. large, and Canada): Salesforce, Microsoft, Google and SAP.

Newcomers to this year’s UK list include Dishoom, Wise, The Gym Group, Oliver Bonas, Octopus Energy and Jet2.com.

Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor chief executive officer, said: “The world of work is rapidly evolving, fueled by the pandemic and now millions of workers are re-evaluating their expectations of employers.

“This year’s Best Places to Work winners are leading the way by listening and responding to employee feedback and reimagining the employee experience to truly put their people first.

“It’s inspiring to see these employers step up during the pandemic to expand and grow company cultures where employees feel supported and valued in and out of work.

“Congratulations to all of this year’s Employees’ Choice Award winners.”
