An 85-year-old nan is still working as a nurse after 68 years and is yet to take a day off.
Catherine Gouge, from Formby, is a palliative care nurse and started her career as a cadet at the age of 17.
And despite six decades in the profession she is still working, in Halcyon House, in Formby, and has no plans to stop.
Catherine's niece, Jeanette Crawford, told the ECHO : "She's never taken a day off, she's constantly always worked.
"You can never moan around her, she never pulls a sicky.
"It's for her sanity, she loves to work.
"She has two daughters in the US and goes to see them as much as possible on holidays from work."

The nan who has four grandchildren, said: "I was one of the first cadet nurses at 17 at St Catherine's Hospital.
She said: "I work in nursing homes, at one time I wouldn't be able to but the common market changed things - now they can't tell us to leave over our age.
"I just feel grateful and lucky that I'm doing something that I enjoy - not everyone can be so lucky."
Over her career, Catherine has worked with St John's Ambulance, a home for the blind and even spent some time working at an Isle of Man hospital.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic Catherine said her job has been crucial for her socially.
She added: "My daughters live abroad so over the last year I would've seen nobody.
"It's been over a year since I've seen them.
"I enjoy my colleagues and residents, I need people.
"People need other people, especially people who are on their own."
And Catherine has no intention of slowing down with work, with the potential for a world record on the horizon.
Jeanette said: "Next year, she will be going in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest career as a nurse."
