An 82-year-old nan who was left "battered and bruised" after falling in a Wirral car park last week has spoken of the "kind strangers" who rushed to her aid when she lost five teeth after crashing to the floor.
Edna Harris, who lives in Prenton, was out shopping with her husband Bill in the Croft Retail Park in Bromborough when the "nasty fall" occurred.
The nan, who is originally from Walton but has lived in Wirral for 52 years, was crossing the car park with Bill after picking up a present for her granddaughter's birthday when she tripped on a speed bump and fell in the road.

Her daughter Joanne posted in a local Facebook group to thank the people who came rushing to her mum's aid after the incident, saying: "On Tuesday 14th September around 1.30 pm my mum had a really nasty fall at Croft industrial estate Car park in Bromborough.
"Firstly to says she is doing ok just some superficial injuries and has knocked all her front teeth out but she’s ok.
" Before the paramedics arrived there was a blonde lady who was so helpful and lovely to them and also a man who attended to my mum with a first aid kit.

"If there’s any way this could get to them to let me know how thankful and grateful we are to them and in a world that sometimes seems like it’s gone mad at the moment, there are some really lovely kind people out there
"Also mum and dad wanted to thank the paramedics who were called Nicky and Tammy who they said were absolutely fantastic with them.
"Again massive thanks and appreciation to you all Mum is doing really well thanks to you all."
Speaking to the ECHO about what happened Edna said: "I'm battered and bruised but still okay."
Her husband Bill said: "She smashed her face on the floor when she fell and bashed five of her front teeth out they lasted 82 years and they went last Tuesday.
"The people around were absolutely brilliant, It was a pleasure to be able to say how nice the people were how they looked after her."
Bill says people rushed to Edna's aid, including a lady who helped her up and "comforted" her and another man who dressed a wound to her thumb, while waiting for ambulance staff, who happened to be in the retail park at the time and were promptly on the scene.
Bill said: "We had just come out of the Range shop and we were walking back to the car.
"We'd only gone up to get a birthday present for our granddaughter and were only walking back to the car, she tripped on one of those speed bumps and went flat on her face and all her teeth smashed
"I've got her teeth in the glove compartment of the car, I picked all the teeth up and put them in a handkerchief and in the car.
"Edna deals with things amazingly, she is made of really good stuff there's no doubt about that, most people including me would be whining about losing my teeth, she just gets on with it, she is an amazing person really
"Quite a few people came over, we were near a next shop and one of the girls from Next came out to see if she could do anything.
"There was a young lady came to help her up and comforted her kind of thing and she was absolutely amazing, she was really nice.
"A man came from somewhere I don't know where he came from, just one of the public, he was obviously a first aider, he had saline solution, squirted and bandaged it up really nice.
"There were a couple of paramedics who were on site, they just happened to be there and somebody directed them down and said a lady had a fall and was flat out basically so they drove down and they brought her into the back of the ambulance and treated her."
After being treated at the scene Bill then took Edna in his car to Arrowe Park hospital where she received treatment for a cut to her thumb and injuries to her knees, wrist and feet.
He said: "The lady who'd comforted Edna, she'd waited half an hour while we were in the ambulance to check she was ok.
"As we were leaving to go to the hospital and getting Edna into the car, she even said have you got money for the parking, she was trying to give me money for the parking meter."

Bill added: "Although it was awful what happened to Edna and she's going to have to wait at least a month before she can get a palette fitted, and it's really difficult for her to eat and she's recovering the way people reacted, it was very uplifting.
"It makes you think the world's still a nice place to be, there's some scum but there's obviously a lot of nice people.
"I was amazed the way people come running, you hear about people have falls and people walk past and all this business.
"She's 82 but she doesn't look it and she's not an old 82 if that makes any sense, she dresses up well and gets made up has her hair done every week. It's her birthday today and she's all right, that's the main thing.
"We didn't get the names of the people who stopped but we'd really like to thank them.
"You only seem to hear about the bad stuff in the world, not the good stuff and there are decent people about, they're the massive majority, and it's nice for people to be reminded of that."
