A cheeky 'naked jogger' wearing only a bum bag has been spotted again baring all as he ran through the UK countryside.
The man became a regular sight in north Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Derbyshire during August, 2020.
He spanned a wide area as he was seen in areas around Leek and Buxton - including the appropriately named Flash.
It led police to issue a warning, asking the public to keep an eye open for the naked runner so they could build up a description and identify the offender.
And now it seems with the weather warming up, the jogger has once again put his running shoes on.
A naked runner was seen in National Trust woodlands at Alderley Edge by a man and his partner yesterday at about 6.30pm, with the shocked couple able to grab a snap of him, reported StokeonTrentLive.
"To say disgusting would be an understatement," the witness posted on the ‘Real’ Alderley Edge Facebook page. "I am not sure whether or not to report this because of the early time when kids could have been up there and that it’s unacceptable and intimidating."
Cheshire Police previously appealed for information about reports of a man running around rural areas 'with his crown jewels on show' or obscured by a ‘teeny tiny bum-bag’.
At the time, officers light-heartedly added ‘for clarity’ that its appeal for a description of the ‘naked man running in the hills on the borders of Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire’ related to his face, rather than any other body parts.
In 2020, Anna Phillips was photographing paragliders when she witnessed the infamous runner near Leek.
She said: "I made eye contact with him as I didn’t know where to look and didn't want to be awkward by looking away.
"We wished each other a 'good evening' because that’s the British thing to do I guess and he carried on running. I was just thinking 'I hope he doesn’t trip and get a graze in a nasty place from all those rocks'."
Another anonymous witness who also took a picture told how he ‘thought he was dreaming’.
He said: "He was wearing a bum bag but nothing else.
"He ran past two men. He then hid behind a wall when he saw a Asda delivery van come down a farm drive. It’s wrong because a child might see him. He seemed to be pretty proud of it. It’s got so busy since lockdown with more people getting out walking so anybody could see him."
Meanwhile, Sadie Trigg and her daughters were on a stroll near Lud's Church when the naked man sprinted past.
The 29-year-old challenged the jogger about why he was running in the buff when there were youngsters about - but he said "I'm only out for a run, what's wrong with that?"
The girls - aged 11, 10, four, and three were said to be left unnerved by the encounter with the nude man.
Sadie continued: "My two older daughters were walking quite a distance ahead at the time. We tried to shout to them to move out the way.
"He ran past but when I went to challenge him he stopped. He said 'there's no harm, I'm only out for a run, what's wrong with that?'. He said 'shall I go and explain to them?'
"I was saying 'are you for real?'. I was in shock. He just kept saying he was doing no harm. I just told him to 'go' and he apologised to the girls and carried on. My partner wasn't happy at all.
"My 10-year-old found it quite funny. She has autism and didn't really understand. But my 11-year-old was mortified. She was saying 'that's not right'. Trying to explain it to her wasn't easy.
"The little ones weren't really bothered and my partner shielded their eyes. He seemed more scared of us than we were of him in some ways. He actually went red in the face. I don't think he expected to run into us."
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust – which manages the Roaches – said at the time: "Behaviour of this type is disorderly and anyone who sees it happening should contact the police. We don't condone behaviour like this on any of our sites."
