Nail-biting dashcam videos show reckless idiot drivers 'causing chaos on the roads'

Shocking dashcam footage shows a series of nail-biting examples of dangerous driving - with motorists seen weaving across the roads and even undertaking other cars fast.

A series of clips from the YouTube channel "Idiot drivers on our roads" shows dangerous wild manoeuvres in Merseyside.

They show a number of near-misses which could have been deadly, the Liverpool Echo reports.

In one clip, a black Nissan Juke has maneuvered too far over the cycle bay at a set of traffic lights and blocks off the road to oncoming traffic.

In one of the most shocking clips, a white van signals to turn right at a crossroads junction manned by traffic lights.

The person behind the wheel slowly brings the van to a halt before changing their mind at the last minute to carry on driving forward.

Predictably, the move almost leads to a collision with an approaching Ford Focus, with the driver in the approaching vehicle looking irate.

Another clip shows a Volkswagen Passat Sport brake-checking the white van behind as both vehicles come agonisingly close to touching bumper to bumper.

Meanwhile, dashcam footage captured at a set of temporary traffic lights shows an impatient blue Ford Focus skip the queue to jump in front of traffic and overtake a lorry.

Understandably, the driver of the lorry blasts the horn as the impatient driver careers off into the distance.

Because the sunlight was shining straight on the car's number plate the HGV driver said he couldn't report it.

The YouTuber who recorded the footage explains in the caption: "In my channel is some films of idiot drivers that I have captured on my car and truck cameras.

"I will be uploading more films of bad driving when I see idiots on our roads."
