Naga Munchetty quits BBC Breakfast after 17 years and announces new career move

Naga Munchetty is set to leave BBC Breakfast in January 2027 after 17 years as a presenter.
She will move to BBC Radio 5 Live to host its flagship morning programme.
Munchetty expressed her excitement for the new role, emphasising her passion for live news and audience engagement.
The announcement follows news that current BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast hosts Rachel Burden and Rick Edwards will step down in December.
Burden will transition to presenting the weekday mid-morning programme, while Edwards will continue with 'Fighting Talk'.
