Naga Munchetty frustrates BBC fans over comment to Carol Kirkwood

Presenter Naga Munchetty was hosting BBC Breakfast alone this morning as Charlie Stayt settled in Liverpool for the Eurovision coverage. However, despite not having her co-host, Naga still found a way to take a swipe at her co-stars as Carol Kirkwood presented the weather from a boat.

As she turned to the big screen to see Carol was, Naga said: "Good morning to you, now I am going to take you to a view over the water, over the River Mersey this morning where just over here... Oh, my good god! Carol, who on earth put you in charge of a ship?

"Of a boat? I mean seriously don't they know you?" Carol laughed and replied: "Naga I am literally driving so I can't really talk to you too much but we are actually near the bridge, we are just coming into Liverpool and are about to dock actually.

"Captain, let me give it back to you because I am not doing that. It is kind of exciting, it was a real first and we are joined by the crew. It has all been happening here, it only takes 10 mins on the commute to get from the Wirral to Liverpool. Anyone can go on here," before she gave the weather forecast.

After the comment, viewers of the breakfast show were left annoyed and took to their Twitter accounts. User @bucz88 asked: "I wonder if Carol gets fed up with Naga at every opportunity taking "comical" jabs at her? I know I would. #BBCBreakfast."

@Joannemh noted: "Naga is at her most patronising with Carol this morning #BBCBreakfast." Chris Denson penned: "Carol always takes Naga's comments on the chin but I know I wouldn't be able to... she can be quite mean at times."

@ChinsTwo said: "Naga cannot help herself, can she? She has to make fun of someone at her expense... I thought Carol did a great job." June Ingles commented: "Naga really missing having Charlie next to her to make fun of clearly... poor Carol." (sic)
