One of Derry's most famous exports has spoken of her pride at coming from the city.
Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has never hidden her Derry roots despite at times being mocked for her accent and dulcet Derry tones.
And now she's reaffirmed her pride in her native city following the broadcast of a BBC documentary entitled Different League: The Derry City Story.
The fascinating documentary which aired on Monday night told the story of Derry City football club's rebirth in the 1980s.
Showing her appreciation for the documentary, Nadine tweeted: "I am loving the @bbc2 documentary on right now Different league A Derry story!!! I have always been a proud Derry girl & I feel so much happiness watching this."
And there were plenty who agreed with her sharing their pride at how far the city has come.
One fan replied: "It was incredible my brother Vinny was one of the makers / producer's of the programme #proudderrygirltoo "
Another added: "Hiya Nadine! And don’t you dare lose any of that accent. You’re one of the few who can speak properly. Not a bad single either."
The 35-year-old performed on new BBC gameshow I Can See Your Voice where she was left stunned by a comment made by Jimmy Carr on her fellow band mate Cheryl.
He said: "I'm alright, I mean I'm a little bit disappointed that Nadine is here if I'm honest. I thought if we wanted someone who knows about lip-syncing we should have got Cheryl..."
Nadine looked stunned at the comment before shouting back at Carr: "We've only just started the show!"
