Nadine Coyle shares rare image lookalike sister in touching tribute on Instagram

Former Girls Aloud member Nadine Coyle has shared a rare image of herself and one of her sisters to mark her birthday.

The 37-year-old Derry native wished her sister Rachel Major a happy birthday on Instagram yesterday alongside an old photo of the pair pictured out and about.

Paying tribute to Rachel, Nadine joked about how long it took her to find a photo of the two of them together saying it was a 'disgrace' and they need to take more pictures together.

She wrote: "Happy birthday my beautiful sissy!!!! Love you with every atom of my being. We neeeeeedddd to start taking more pictures of us. This is a disgrace. It took me about an hour to find this. Xxx love you!!! @rachcoylemajor Have the most amazing time & year ahead."

Irish pop star Samantha Mumba joined Nadine in sending birthday wishes to Rachel, writing in the comments: "Happy Birthday gorgeous!! @rachcoylemajor"

DWTS judge Arthur Gourounlian also sent his regard on the special occasion, writing: "Happy Happy Birthday Raaaaaaachel we love you."

Nadine has two siblings, elder sister Charmaine and younger sister Rachel, with Nadine falling in the middle.

The Girls Aloud star has been keeping busy in recent weeks performing at Pride festivals across the UK including Belfast a number of weeks ago.

And last month she reunited with her fellow bandmates from Girls Aloud in London to remember Sarah Harding at the Race for Life.

Nadine described feeling “in denial” over bandmate Sarah Harding’s illness. Speaking ahead of Race For Life For Sarah, Coyle said: “This time last year we were actually hanging out. We all met up last year. She was there and we were talking and she didn’t even seem that sick.

“I was in denial the entire time and was the friend that was ‘Oh, it’s gonna be all right’, you know, I was completely in denial right up until the day she passed.”
