Nadine Coyle says Girls Aloud have put feud behind them as Sarah Harding fights cancer

Former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle insists the band have put their differences behind them as fellow member Sarah Harding battles against breast cancer.

The Irish singer told OK! Magazine that the band has “a nice harmony going on now”, after putting to bed their rift that had rumbled on since they each went their separate ways in 2013.

The 35-year-old also revealed that the singers have rallied around Sarah and are trying to support her.

“When we see each other, it’s like we’ve stepped back in time. As if we’ve only seen each other yesterday. It’s such a tough time, but all of us have pulled together,” she said.

The 35-year-old and bandmates Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Cheryl and Sarah rose to fame on TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 to become one of the UK’s best-selling girl bands.

Nadine explained how she still talks to Sarah a lot and her former bandmate is “doing good”.

She described how seeing her friend fight cancer has made her think about life.

“You start thinking about everyone in your life. We all go along thinking it won’t happen to us, but it’s just a ticking time bomb. You just have to enjoy life as best as you can.”

The singer is also taking part in the star-studded The Great Celebrity Bake Off For SU2C alongside James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall which premieres on 9th March.

Her group consists of comedian John Bishop and presenter Anneka Rice, who she says all got on really well.

She admits though that her chances of being crowned Bake Off champ and taking home the winner’s trophy are “slim to none”.

“Baking takes a lot of patience and when I cook it’s more of a throw it in and taste it as you go and baking is much more of a science, so we will see,” she said.
