Nadine Coyle panics I Can See Your Voice viewers over accent blunder

Nadine Coyle had viewers panicking on I Can See Your Voice as they misheard her in an accent blunder.

The Girls Aloud star was this week's guest star on the brand new BBC One show hosted by Paddy McGuinness.

I Can See Your Voice follows on from ITV's Masked Singer and sees members of the public guess if other members of the public are a good singer before they've even sung a note.

They're helped by a panel of celebrity investigators - Alison Hammond, Jimmy Carr and Amanda Holden - with a special musical guest each week.

And this is where Nadine comes in.

Fans were delighted to see the singer back on screens but those watching at home had to listen very hard as they thought she said a rude word when in fact, it was all rather innocent.

Paddy said to Nadine after introducing the show: "Welcome to the show Nadine... how are you going to spot the good singer?"

"I'm going to be looking for mic technique, I'm going to be looking if they breathe at the same point that the song's breathe," she replied.

Later, as the panel discussed each potential singer, Nadine said one of them who was dubbed 'Guitar Star' had a "crooner wink".

However, her pronunciation thinking she said something COMPLETELY different - and we'll leave that to your imagination.

Paddy had to check what she said (BBC)

"Excuse me?" Paddy asked before Amanda chipped in: "I'm sorry?"

The panel all burst into laughter with Nadine saying again: "He winked at the camera!"

She repeated herself and Jimmy said as he put his hand on his chest: "That's fine, Paddy. That's fine. But for a second there..."

And it didn't stop people talking about it on Twitter.

The panel found it hilarious (BBC)

"A crooner's what?!?! #icanseeyourvoice," tweeted one alongside an embarrassed face emoji.

Another said: "WINK. She said WINK everybody #ICanSeeYourVoice."

"Why do so many people struggle with @NadineCoyleNow’s accent #icanseeyourvoice," a third added.

But another loved it, commenting: "To be honest I am 100% here just for Nadine's accent #icanseeyourvoice."
