Viewers were left satisfied at hearing Nadine Coyle pronounce “flour” on last night’s episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off.

Coyle took part in the final episode of the special series, which raises money for Stand Up for Cancer, on Tuesday 6 April.

The episode saw Coyle go up against Doctor Who’s John Bishop, TV presenter Anneka Rice and wheelchair basketball player-turned-presenter Ade Adepitan.

All eyes, however, were on the former Girls Aloud singer as viewers eagerly awaited Coyle’s pronunciation of the word “flour”.

In 2010, the Irish musician became an instant talking point after her appearance on Sunday Brunch went viral, during which she pronounced the ingredient in a unique way.

Over a decade later and Bake Off fans were not left disappointed as the 35-year-old prepared to bake choux buns in the signature round, stating: “Butter and then we do the flour.”

“As if #GBBO got Daine to say ‘flouer’ three minutes in. Incredible memory,” said one person on Twitter..

Another wrote: “Can’t believe we’ve been blessed with Nadine Coyle saying Flour again,” while someone else added: “NADINE COYLE JUST SAID ‘FLOUR’ I REPEAT.”

“She said it. She said Fleeourr. We deserve this,” wrote a fourth user.

Another person said: “Nadine Coyle saying ‘floyurrrr’ is all the serotonin I need for today,” with someone else writing: “We’re all here waiting for Nadine Coyle to say ‘flour’, aren’t we?”

Elsewhere in the episode, viewers were moved by Coyle’s reasons for participating in the charity special as she appeared to pay tribute to her bandmate Sarah Harding who was diagnosed with cancer last year.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off is available to watch on All 4.
