Nadiah Adu-Gyamfi vows to change mum's life as she wins ITV's Walk The Line

Nadiah Adu-Gyamfi has vowed to change her mum's life as she won Walk The Line.

The singer triumphed in the ITV competition, after beating the four new challengers on tonight's show, to take home £500,000 which she promised would change her and her family's live forever.

Fans have eagerly been tuning in to the new ITV show, created by Simon Cowell, and were pleased by the result - which saw Nadiah take home the huge prize after turning down £20,000.

After her win, Nadiah was joined by her mum on stage, as she said: "I just want to say thank you to every single person who voted for me. I get to actually help change your life mum. You deserve it so much."

Gary Barlow, Dawn French, Craig David and Alesha Dixon sat on the show's panel and gave their verdicts on each of the contestants whilst the show was hosted by much-loved presenter Maya Jama.

Nadiah was reigning champion following yesterday's show and she had a tough decision to make. She could either cash out of tonight's show and take home the £20,000 prize money or risk walking the line and ending up with nothing.

To beat her challengers, Nadiah had to put on a performance herself this evening in the hope of coming top of the vote.

She had one minute to decide whether to cash out or walk the line, as everyone - including her mum - encouraged her to take a shot at the huge prize of half a million pounds.

Gary told her: "Nadiah, I'd go for it. I really would, this is life-changing. I'd take the risk."

Whilst Craig added: "You're this close to getting £500,000, I think you need to walk the line."

Alesha said life was "about taking risks" as both her and Dawn urged Nadiah to bet on herself and her talent. Nadiah's mum also encouraged her to walk the line but it was down to the singer to make a final decision.

Tension mounted for viewers at home as the star decided to walk down the middle of the runway, hoping it would turn gold when she stepped on the end platform, meaning she had won the £500,000.

Fans rejoiced on Twitter after finding out she won, with one writing: " #Nadiah you beautiful superstar!!! Crying my eyes out."

Another added: "So happy for Nadiah, such a worthy winner, made me cry every time #walktheline."
