Nadia Sawalha uses fake tan for the first time with hilarious results

With a less than generous summer so far and chances of going abroad far from certain Nadia Sawalha could be forgiven for wanting to give her tan a bit of a helping hand.

Deciding to reach for the bottle and tackle St Tropez tanning mousse for the first time, the Loose Women presenter shared a hilarious video of her grappling with the product producing priceless results.

In a film shot by her husband Nadia can be seen prepping her skin in the bath before revealing she would be "slapping a load of moisturiser on it" before applying the fake tan the next morning.

The video shows Nadia prancing around in black underwear as her husband Mark films her applying moisturiser to any dry bits.

After dipping a tanning mit into the mousse, the Loose Women star advises it's best to start with your "biggest bit" first.

The video then shows Nadia applying the fake tan all over her body, including when she accidentally drops some of the product on the floor.

Finishing the job with a quick spritz of light tanning mist to her face she skips around the kitchen as Mark tells her: 'I'm impressed!'

Unveiling her gorgeous glow Nadia tells her followers: "I am so happy. Look at the colour... I am a complete convert!"

Captioning her Instagram video, she wrote: "Take a TRIP with ME to ST. TROPEZ! I've been a NIGHTMARE show off all week and my friends and family have just about had enough and have told me so too !

"The thing is I LITERALLY can NOT believe what a fantastic-as-if-I've-been-to-St.Tropez-tan I've got!

"There I go again. But honestly, you know I never tell you about anything unless I LOVE it and I LOVE this fake tan!

"St.Tropez have just given me the best tan of my life! Hydrated my skin and left me feeling like I've actually been on holiday.

"And god knows we all need a holiday! I'm hooked. Addicted. A lifetime user. "

The Loose Women presenter is often candid about her life and has been incredibly vocal about her menopause journey in recent months after she finally discovered what was going on with her body.

During a heated discussion about the women’s health subject on Thursday’s instalment of the ITV panel show, Nadia spoke passionately about why girls should be taught about menopause from an early age in school.

The TV personality admitted that she had ‘no idea’ what was happening to her while she was on her journey through the next stage of her womanhood, and due to a lack of information about her severe symptoms, Nadia felt as though she was suffering from either Alzheimer's or cancer.

“My menopause was all very crazy for me at the beginning,” she revealed.

“But the one thing I never thought about was the menopause because it was never mentioned – as far as I can remember – at school.”

Nadia went on to urge female viewers to do their research on the matter and the unusual symptoms that come with the next milestone in a woman’s life.
