Nadia Sawalha confesses to snubbing Loose Women three times and 'ferocious' rows

Nadia Sawalha has revealed she turned down the Loose Women job three times.

Life may have been very different for the original panellist, who appeared in the first ever show in 1999, as she initially didn't want to take part.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly, Nadia confessed she thought Jane Moore and Kaye Adams were 'a bit posh and clever'.

She said: "I remember going for the audition and Jane Moore and Kaye Adams were there. I thought, 'Oh blimey they're all a bit posh, they're all a bit clever.

"I got offered the job and three times I turned it down. I'd just come out of EastEnders and I said I'd be rubbish, I can't do that.

"But they insisted and thank God because I love it. I've loved it over the years I've come in and out. My favourite thing in the whole world is talking to women."

Nadia has been part of the show on and off for the last 20 years - and seen her fair share of arguments.

She admitted that the panellists can get quite heated during their "ferocious" on-screen rows but it's all forgotten about very quickly.

Nadia said: "We do have disagreements, ferocious arguments sometimes, but isn't that the amazing thing about female friendships?

"We've been friends for over 20 years. You can talk about everything.

"Sometimes we have really heated debates and people are like, 'Oh God, how was that in the break?'

"But we forget about it and move on. It's brilliant."

The Loose Women star said he dad came onto the set for the middle eastern day.

She added: "He came in to watch me one afternoon. They said, 'does he come into work with you everyday?'"
