Nadia Forde says she has settled in the UK with husband Dominic Day after years of globe-trotting

Former I’m A Celebrity star Nadia Forde admitted that after a few years globe-trotting with her rugby playing husband she has settled in the UK as it is close to her beloved Nana.

The 30-year-old Dublin native is based in London with her husband, rugby player Dominic Day, and their 13-month-daughter Wyatt Riley.

And while she will always feel the pull of LA as an actress, she said she has no plans to go back there chasing a pop career.

The former I’m A Celeb star added: “It is a nomadic lifestyle as an actor and you go where the work is.

“When we moved to Japan I landed two months working in London. You just never know.

“I am based in London and a lot of casting is done through self-taping which suits me. I don’t think you need to be in LA to get work.

“Dominic has set up a business called Four Five CBD, it is a cannabis oil company and it is doing really well. They will be launching in Ireland in a few weeks which is great.

“It is designed as a recovery aid after surgery and sports injuries and to be a safe product for everyone and his product is the best out there.

“After my mum died I just needed some time off and something had to give career-wise and that was the music. I just had to honour the grief I was going through at the time.”

The model turned actor starred in the Netflix movie Once Upon A Time In London, where she played gangster’s wife Rita Comer.

But Nadia said she would be just as happy strolling in Carraigstown if a part in the hit soap came her way.

She added: “I grew up with it and my Nana would be heartbroken if I said I wouldn’t do Fair City.”

Nadia’s first new job since having her baby is for the new RTE Player series My Best Sustainable Life, which looks at different ways we can change our lifestyles to help the planet.

She said: “I am a vegan and I like to promote environmental awareness so I said yes to it.”
