Nadia Essex reveals why she wants a baby girl ahead of gender reveal

Nadia Essex has admitted she wants to have a baby girl as she prepares for her gender scan next week.

The dating expert, who is 20 weeks pregnant, said she is having the scan to see if she gets her wish or if she will have to "get used to" the idea of having a boy.

Writing for OK! Online , Nadia, 37 explained: "Now, I know it is not PC and my mum keeps telling me off, but I would like to have a girl.

"And it is something that I can’t control. It is something that I would really really deep down like. I love girls, I know girls. I know girls’ struggles and I know how difficult it is.

"So for me, it will feel a lot easier for me to have a girl so I really really want to have a girl."

Nadia admitted that she'd rather be prepared to have a boy before she gives birth.

She said she doesn't know anything about raising boys or how they grow up, so it's important for her to know ahead of time.

Nadia continued: "I don’t want to have to get used to it when the baby is here, I want to get used to it now.

"And I’m going to have to start from scratch, I’m going to have to find out about boys things – I don’t know anything about guys and guy's puberty and guy's feelings and I am going to have to research from a boy's point of view and helping them grow up a healthy, happy, functional young man in society."

Earlier this month Nadia told Mirror Online of her fears she'll end up raising her baby in a walk-in wardrobe after a landlord turned her away "because she's pregnant".

The former Celebs Go Dating star said a landlord refused to rent his property to her because she's pregnant and because she speaks openly about her mental health.

She moved in with a friend in the summer when circumstances forced her to move out of her property.

Her friend had already turned her spare bedroom into a walk-in wardrobe, but installed a bed when Nadia, who was then unaware she was expecting a baby, needed somewhere to stay.
