Superstar Nadech Kugimiya returns to small screens with The Debt Collector, a new action thriller film now streaming on Netflix.
The Debt Collector follows Num (Nadech), a former illegal debt collector, who carries the weight of his sins long after his prison sentence ends. When he discovers that he is terminally ill with only little time left to live, he resolves to leave the darkness behind and live out his final days in peace, yet the old world refuses to let him go.
Witnessing Po (Pittaya Saechua), the ruthless son of a powerful loan shark, carry out a brutal debt collection against a defenceless elderly woman and her niece, Num watches history repeat itself.
The violence reopens old wounds and reignites a rage. For one last fight, he plunges into a savage underworld, determined to reclaim justice for those crushed beneath cycles of debt.
Alongside him is Kong (Chaiwat Thongsang), a police officer navigating loan shark crimes within a deeply corrupt system. With his past beyond repair, Num sets out to collect the only debts that matter -- lives owed to the innocent -- and find redemption before time runs out.
The movie showcases the transformation of Nadech, in a raw and hardened new look that has everyone talking.
The film is directed by Surapong Ploensang and produced by Nalina Chayasombat. The script was written by Surapong, Onusa Donsawai and Pun Homchuen.
