NAC Breda manager Robert Maaskant reacted furiously to his side conceding two late goals in the Eredivisie, punching and smashing a pane of plexiglass in his own dugout.
With NAC currently battling relegation from Holland’s top league, Maaskant’s side led bottom-palced Dordrecht 2-0 at home on Saturday and looked set to climb out of the Eredivisie’s relegation play-off positions, but two second-half goals in two minutes from Giovanni Korte and Everon Pisas levelled the scores at 2-2 to infuriate Maaskant.
The second goal that NAC conceded was particular calamitous, with the home side’s defence slipping and failing to clear their line on a number of occasions. Dordrech are all but already relegated, having taken just 16 points from 30 matches.
The punch reportedly drew blood from Maaskant’s hand, with the 46-year-old manager using a bottle of water to clean his hands afterwards.
