Naby Keita starts as Liverpool make 10 changes to line-up for Brighton

Jurgen Klopp makes 10 changes to his Liverpool team as they host Brighton at Anfield.

Naby Keita starts in midfield after recovering from an injury that forced him off on a stretcher following Paul Pogba’s recklessly high tackle in the 5-0 win at Manchester United last weekend.

Keita was able to return to training in midweek and is deemed fit enough to continue the impressive form he was in at Old Trafford before Pogba’s red-card offence.

Only Curtis Jones keeps his place from the side that beat Preston 2-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday as Klopp makes sweeping alterations to his lineup.

Ibrahima Konate starts again alongside Virgil van Dijk in defence with Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold returning to their usual spots on the left and right of the back four, respectively.

Sadio Mane is given the nod ahead of Diogo Jota as the in-form Senegalese comes back into the front three alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Alisson Becker replaces Adrian in goal as captain Jordan Henderson skippers the side in midfield.

LIVERPOOL: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Keita, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

SUBS: Adrian, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Jota, Tsimikas, Origi, Matip, Morton.
