Naby Keita named in Guinea squad despite Liverpool injury

Naby Keita has been named in the Guinea squad for internationals against Guinea-Bissau and Morocco.

The Liverpool midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained in the match against Brighton last weekend.

And while Jurgen Klopp admitted he hoped to have Keita back from the problem after the international break in his press conference ahead of the trip to West Ham, Guinea are clearly hoping he'll be back sooner to contribute to their World Cup qualifiers.

Liverpool will be keen to ensure Keita is not risked after a disjointed season in which the Reds have seen some of the £52m midfielder's best form.

Keita scored in wins at Atletico Madrid and Manchester United, but he has struggled for consistency and has had a number of injury issues.

Liverpool are also without Roberto Firmino and James Milner with hamstring problems, as well as Joe Gomez, who has a calf injury.
