Nabil Fekir's 'gentleman's agreement' that could take him closer to Liverpool

Lyon are ready to sell Nabil Fekir in the summer according to L'Equipe , with a gentleman's agreement potentially taking him closer to finally completing a move to Liverpool .

The France World Cup winner had seemed certain for a move to Anfield shortly after the tournament in Russia last summer, only for the move to collapse amid concerns over an apparently failed medical.

Fekir has shone in Ligue 1 this season, and has scored 12 goals in all competitions as his side reached the last-16 of the Champions League.

And Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is reportedly now ready to grant his captain permission to leave the club in the summer, along with star defensive midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Manchester City , Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are all said to be on the trail of Ndombele, who could now fetch a higher price than Fekir because of concerns about the latter's injury record.

Liverpool had agreed a fee of £53million for the 25-year-old last year, and although they have excelled under Jurgen Klopp this season to reach the top of the Premier League and the quarter-finals of the Champions League, thereare still concerns about their lack of creativity from midfield.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has yet to kick a ball for the first-team this season, while both Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri have fallen out of favour under Klopp in recent weeks.
