Nabil Fekir favours Lyon exit a year after Liverpool transfer fell through

Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas admits Nabil Fekir could leave the club this summer.

Fekir's proposed transfer to Liverpool fell through last year due to concerns over a historic knee injury, with no move to resurrect the deal despite reports to the contrary this summer.

A year ago the Reds were on the verge of completing a £53million transfer - to the extent that the player had been interviewed for club media and photographed in a shirt.

However, Liverpool sought a second opinion after the initial medical, and decided not to risk proceeding with such a high-value transfer.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Aulas said of Fekir: "His preference is shifting towards a move. We are open to discussions.

"I have no news. We are waiting for offers in the coming days but for now, there is nothing."

As for Tottenham target Tanguy Ndombele, Aulas said: "Nothing is decided [for him]. We have lots of offers but they do not come up to the price we feel is right."
