Nabil Fekir breaks silence about Liverpool interest and drops Lyon exit hint

Former Liverpool target Nabil Fekir has dropped a hit that he could leave Lyon during the summer transfer window.

Such a development has been a long time coming, with the French midfielder close to joining Liverpool last summer.

Fekir was pictured in a Liverpool shirt ahead of an announcement only for the whole deal to be pulled at the last minute after he failed a medical.

But any worries about a potential deal being dead were put to one side by Fekir when he addressed his future, with the 25-year-old specifically talking about Liverpool’s interest.

Fekir told Telefoot: “Liverpool? It’s part of a player’s career, but it makes you stronger and you have to move forward.

“I really don’t know what I will do (next summer) but as I said I feel good in Lyon, the president trusts me, that’s good. You will see (if I extend my contract).”

Meanwhile, Liverpool fans believe they have seen the proof that Fekir will sign for the club this summer.

Fans spotted an interesting development regarding Fekir’s agent and Reds sporting director Michael Edwards, with the agent Jean-Pierre Bernes donating to Edwards’ Just Giving page.
