NAB suffered a nationwide outage with customers unable to make Eftpos payments or withdraw cash from ATMs on Tuesday before services were restored in the early afternoon.
The bank apologised for the technical glitches and said at 1.10pm that normal services had begun to resume.
Everyone, our services are starting to come back online - we’ll keep you posted.

“Apologies all – it’s difficult to get through to our contact centre at the moment due to the high volume of calls. Our branches are open & you can get cash out with our people there. We’re sorry about this everyone – we’ll do our best to service & update you here,” NAB posted on its Facebook page.
With phone lines overwhelmed, customers turned to social media to complain and seek answers from NAB.

Andrew Hagger, NAB’s chief customer officer, said NAB customers were not able to use their NAB cards in ATMs or at Eftpos terminals during the outage.
“This is also affecting NAB merchant terminals and Hicaps,” Hagger said.
“We’re working hard to fix this problem and we’re very sorry for the trouble this is causing.
“Our people in our branches will do their best to help you today.”
