Naas Gardai arrest driver high on multiple drugs while biker gets nabbed for no helmet or licence

Naas Gardai had a busy day on Thursday after reporting three different vehicle seizures in the area.

A bike driver wearing no helmet with no lights, insurance or licence was arrested by Gardai on Thursday.

The driver was in the Monread area Naas when Gardai confronted them for not wearing a helmet.

After discovering the driver was uninsured and had no licence, Gardai seized the bike and made the arrest, with proceedings to follow.

Separately, Naas Roads Policing Units stopped a car after observing it "driving dangerously."

The driver proceeded to test positive for cocaine, opiates and benzodiazepines.

Gardai seized the vehicle and arrested the driver.

Another vehicle was seized by the Naas Roads Policing Unit after detecting a driver speeding.

The motorist was found to have no insurance and proceedings will be issued.
