N’Keal Harry says he’s never seen Cam Newton go directly home after practice

When Bill Belichick said that nobody works harder than Cam Newton, he wasn’t lying.

The New England Patriots quarterback got to work as soon as he was reportedly signed and that work ethic hasn’t fell off one bit. He made sure to meet up with his skill players outside of the practice facility and he’s worked extremely hard to learn the team’s difficult playbook.

Here’s a piece of Belichick’s quote on Newton: “He’s an extremely hard worker. Nobody works harder than Cam does. He’s here early. He stays late, and he works very hard.”

Second-year wide receiver N’Keal Harry backed up that statement on Sunday during his press conference. Harry said Newton always stays late and puts in work after practice or meetings.

Newton also made the effort to have individual handshakes with custom handshakes for his teammates. Harry referred to the specific handshake he and Newton share, that stems from his hair style.

The energy and work ethic Newton brings is similar to Tom Brady and it’s the reason why the Patriots aren’t in a terrible spot in the post-Brady era. Newton’s work ethic will help drive those around him and will be huge heading into the season — which is less than a week away.
