N’Keal Harry leaves preseason game with injury in otherwise impressive debut

New England Patriots receiver N’Keal Harry left the team’s preseason game early against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night. He appeared to suffer an injury, as he came up limping after a reception in the first quarter. Upon leaving the field, trainers attended to Harry on the sideline.

He recorded two impressive catches for 36 yards before leaving the game. His first catch came on a stop route, where he shielded off a defender for a diving grab. The second reception, during which he appeared to suffer the injury, was an impressive leaping grab on the sideline. Harry didn’t play many snaps, but he manage to make an impact before the injury.

Harry has been dealing with a hamstring injury in training camp.

The Patriots drafted Harry at 32nd overall in the 2019 NFL Draft after a productive set of seasons with the Arizona State Sun Devils. Bill Belichick has never drafted a receiver as high as he did with Harry.
