Mysuru: Covid patient dies, son says chain missing

MYSURU: A youth who lost his mother to Covid-19 in April filed a complaint against a private hospital in Mysuru alleging that the hospital authorities are yet to return the victim’s gold chain. The hospital denied the allegations.

Police registered an FIR against the hospital and said they will look into MK Yashvanth Kumar’s complaint.

Kumar said he admitted his mother Gauramma, 62, on April 18. She died 10 days later. Kumar claimed the hospital staff removed her gold jewellery — a 25-gram chain, four bangles, two earrings and a ring — while shifting her body. The hospital returned the ornaments, except the chain, he claimed.tnn
