Mystery woman with 'distinct tattoos' found dead on Cornwall beach identified

A mystery woman with 'distinct tattoos' found dead on a Cornwall beach has been identified, police confirmed today.

The body of the female, aged in her late 20s to early 30s, was discovered by dog walkers yesterday morning after concerns for her welfare were raised.

Police are treating her death as unexplained, reports Cornwall Live.

Emergency services attended the scene at Parranporth beach and a cordon was put in place at around 7am.

Her identification comes hours after police appealed for help from the public in a bid to establish who she was.

They described her as having distinctive tattoos, including a large Celtic-type tattoo on her right thigh and a date in Roman numerals on her ankle.
