Mystery three-bed home in Offaly up for auction at just €45,000

An Offaly home is up for auction next month with a guide price of just €45,000.

The semi-detached house is going under the hammer with a staggeringly low price tag.

The three-bedroom property is in a little village called Crinkle, close to Birr in County Offaly, and sits on 76 square metres.

At the moment, the home is being rented out at €3,840 per year.

Bidx1, the digital property company behind the auction, has only two pictures of the exterior for potential buyers to view online and a mysteriously short description of the property.

While the auction website says the house has gardens at the front and rear, Bidx1 gives no mention of what can be found inside.

The website boasts local amenities from the local GAA club to Crinkle Superstore and the home’s close proximity to Birr’s shops, pubs and restaurants. The home also has transport links including the N62 which connects the M6 motorway in Athlone to the M8 in Tipperary.

With a guide price of less than €50,000, the puzzling property appears to be a bargain. Brave bidders can be in with a chance to nab the property when it goes to auction on June 25.
