Mystery surrounds man found on Nottingham street with head wound

A man was found collapsed in the early hours of the morning with a head wound.

The 35-year-old was discovered in Curzon Street, in the city centre, at around 5am on October 5.

He was taken to the hospital and his condition is currently described as serious but stable.

Detectives are urging anyone who was in the area and saw anything to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “At this stage we are keeping an open mind with regards to how the man sustained his injuries and we are appealing for any information from the public which may assist us with our enquiries.

“The area where the man was found is overlooked by student flats and we are urging anyone who may have seen something or anyone who may have captured CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the incident to please come forward.”

Anyone who has any information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 101 of 5 October 2021, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
