Mystery supporter projects 'Save Me' onto under-threat Hamilton Mausoleum

Hamilton’s most iconic building was lit up this week by a mystery supporter.

A projected image saying  ‘Save Me’ was  beamed onto Hamilton Mausoleum on Monday night.

The grand statement appeared on the building and follows the Advertiser’s campaign to save the historic building.

More than £375,000 is needed to stop water damage that is penetrating the iconic dome.

And over recent months the Advertiser has joined forces with the Save the Hamilton Mausoleum Trust, who have identified more than £375,000 is needed to stop water penetrating the iconic dome.

'Save Me' was projected onto Hamilton Mausoleum.

We launched a campaign in conjunction with the trust, who have seen a surge in their membership.

The Save the Hamilton Mausoleum Trust are campaigning for action before the cost of repairs spirals out of control.

The Advertiser is unaware of who was behind the projected image.

A spokesperson for the trust said: “ The projected image was nothing to do with ourselves.”
