A mystery £58m lottery winner, who bought their ticket in Scotland, has failed to collect their prize money.
They'd bought the winning ticket from somewhere in Ayrshire, however the winner did not come forward.
The March 17 prize was claimed by a ticket holder who came forward in April.
A spokesman for Camelot said: "We received a claim on this prize a while ago.
"We do not comment on the detail of individual claims.
"However, as with all major prizes, the claim goes through a rigorous validation process to ensure the prize can be paid under the National Lottery Game Rules.
"Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.
"If a valid claim is not received within this period, the prize money is passed to Good Causes."
The bumper win has accrued interest, likely to have pushed the total up by around £400,000 to more than £58m even at today's low interest rates.
The Camelot spokesman added: "All prize money is held in a separate trust account during the claim period and any interest generated over and above the running costs of the trust account is also passed to Good Causes."
In 2012, a £65m EuroMillions ticket bought in Hertfordshire also went back into the good cause funds. In 2018, a huge £125m in Lottery prizes went unclaimed, as thousands of Lotto, Euromillions and scratchcard players failed to bank their winnings.
Prizes range from millions of pounds to a couple of pounds won on forgotten scratchcards.
Many of the million pound prizes left unclaimed are for the UK Millionaire Maker competition, a raffle that Euromillions and Lotto ticket holders are automatically entered into, which guarantees at least one lucky player will win £1m in every draw.
