Mystery Scot scoops £158k with Euromillions lucky dip and plans to buy luxury car

A mystery man from East Lothian has scooped more than £158,000 on his Euromillions lucky dip ticket.

The punter, known only as Mr P, successfully matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star in The National Lottery draw on August 13.

He now plans to pay off the mortgage on his home and treat himself to a luxury new motor after he was left quids in.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What brilliant news for Mr. P for winning this fantastic prize.

“He can now look forward to buying his dream car and having a mortgage free future.

“We’re encouraging everyone to check their tickets online at national-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app, and to buy or check their tickets in retail in line with government guidance.

“Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.

“You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.”

The mystery Scot, who played a Lucky Dip via the National Lottery website, has become one of over eight million players that win each week on The National Lottery’s range of games.

Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or like this winner, release some details through partial publicity.
