Mystery of Strictly star Jamie Laing's missing millions as he's never seen a penny of family fortune

Strictly Come Dancing star Jamie Laing has revealed he's never seen a penny of his family fortune despite being heir to the McVitie's biscuit empire.

The reality TV star's great-great grandfather, Alexander Grant, was a biscuit entrepreneur and set up the famous snack company.

The family sold the firm off many years ago, making millions, but Jamie, 30, insists he's never benefited from the biscuit money.

He explains he doesn't even know where the cash went, but he remains hopeful it will turn up one day.

Jaime told the Daily Star Sunday : "We sold the company a long time ago, but I don't know where that money went.

"I haven't seen any of it. It's pretty upsetting.

"I'm hoping one day I find it... I don't even get free biscuits."

Even without his family's money, Jamie is still said to be worth an estimated £2 million thanks to the Candy Kittens sweet business he set up on his own.

The telly star is due to make his debut in Strictly next week.

He was recently forced to deny his relationship with girlfriend Sophie Habboo had been struck by the Strictly curse before the new series had even kicked off.

He's put the split rumours to bed by taking Sophie away on a beach break so they could spend some quality time together before the shows starts.

Jamie is best known for starring in reality TV show Made In Chelsea (Channel 4)

However, he's found himself in hot water again as this weekend he was hit by claims he'd cheated on Sophie.

The Daily star reported that one of his Made In Chelsea co-stars, Rosi Mai Waldon, admitted to sleeping with him while he was with Sophie.

The drama is said to play out in the first episode of the new series of the reality show.
