Mystery of strange Jurgen Klopp banner flown over Liverpool match solved

The mystery of a bizarre banner flown over Liverpool's last home match has been solved.

A plane carrying the message “Jurgen Ready For Beermunch” flew over Anfield during the first half of the Reds 3-1 victory over Newcastle United .

Many fans were left questioning what the meaning behind the banner was on Saturday, September 14, but they can now wonder no more.

The banner was an attempt to generate a buzz for a new line of snacks aimed at craft beer drinkers.

Beermunch , the brand being promoted, has been launched in the UK by US firm Brew City in partnership with McCain Foods.

A plane bearing a similar message but reading “Jonjo Ready For Beermunch” was also flown over St James’ Park twice before their match with Brighton on Saturday which you can see in the tweet above.
