Mystery naked man wearing only a snood shocks locals near abandoned Ayrshire mansion

A man was seen walking naked wearing only a snood near an abandoned mansion in Cumnock on Sunday.

Police have launched a hunt to track the mystery nude walker down after he stunned locals - and left little to the imagination - while out on a stroll near Glaisnock House at around 4.30pm.

Shocked residents said he was in his 20s or 30s and was wearing nothing but a black and red snood.

The naked man was also walking with a carrier bag and is said to be around 6ft tall, of medium build, and has short dark blonde hair.

Police have urged anyone who saw the mystery man and who may know his identity to come forward and help them with their investigation.

Inspector Christine Boyd, from Cumnock Police Station, said: "Around 4.30pm on Sunday, 13 September, we received a report of a naked man walking near Glaisnock House in Cumnock.

"He is described as being in his 20s or 30s, 6ft tall, medium build, with short dark blond hair.

"He was naked, except for a black and red snood covering his face, and was carrying a carrier bag.

"Enquiries into this report are ongoing and we would ask anyone with information, or who saw this man, to contact police on 101, quoting incident 2417 of 13 September."
